LISTEN TO GOD’S VOICE

LISTEN TO GOD’S VOICE

“And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;” Genesis 26:2-3 (KJV)

How many still hear God? Isaac heard God! God spoke and he heard what God said. That was the game-changer for Isaac. How many of us hear God? Yes, you attend church services regularly, but do you really hear God? What does God tell you? What are the things you hear? What is your take-home package? What is your takeaway?

I can tell if you hear God by your actions. The things you have heard over time, at different times, and in the different services you’ve attended, how many of them have you put to work? If you say you have heard God, and you are not a doer of the word, you can’t be blessed. God said to Isaac: Don’t go down to Egypt. Don’t go the way of your father. Don’t go that route. That road is going to kill you. Isaac heard it and he obeyed.

Obeying divine instructions positions you for the blessings of God. There are several times I have been to services, prepared and done all the stuff, sit down, and still listened to God and God will tell me to go a different direction. It is His Kingdom! “Except the LORD build the house, They labour in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain.” (Psalm 127:1 KJV)

Don’t be a copycat! There is a there that God has ordained for you. There is a stage that He has prepared for you. But you are doing other things because you’ve heard the voice of God. You cannot follow divine instructions and be stranded. In His light, you will see light. “For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light.” (Psalm 36:9 KJV)
