LEVERAGE ON MERCY

LEVERAGE ON MERCY

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,” Ephesians 2:4 (KJV)

The word Mercy has been misunderstood. Often, people view it from a negative standpoint. “I have done something wrong! Let me ask for the Mercy of God”. In other words, the Mercy of God will now force God to meet my need. “I have blown it, I have messed up, I have failed God; so, I will ask Him for Mercy” This is the aspect of Mercy which the devil has pushed out through the fall of man. And the impression he has shown is that God is withholding something from man and that God wants man dead. “You blow it, I throw you to the gallows”. This is the impression that the devil has presented through the fall of man.

Beloved, God is not waiting for your next mistake. No! He is a loving God. It is the loving-kindness of God that releases and deploys His Mercy.

God is love! And love never fails! Love is longsuffering! Love is patient. Love never regards the evil done to Him. And I want you to know right away that God is not withholding anything from you. If anything, He wants you blessed. And He wants you to experience a positive turnaround in yourlife.

Mercy is undeserved! Mercy is positive! The Mercy of God is positive and should not be associated with negativity. The Mercy of God is positive because it is God showing us His goodness and loving-kindness. After all, that is who God is. God is rich in Mercy because of the love He has for us.

The believer can always leverage on Mercy. Mercy causes a turnaround! Mercy sees you the way, God sees you not how the devil or man sees us. God’s Mercy is reaching out to you today and I know that your life will never be the same
