LEADERS MUST KEEP AT IT

LEADERS MUST KEEP AT IT

‘’Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.’’ Genesis 6:22 KJV

God is always specific when He gives you instructions. God was very specific in His instructions to Noah. He told him exactly how to build the ark. He described a pattern to Noah and told him what to use. God told Noah the height and breadth and how many decks the ark should have.

Our God is a God of plan, purpose, design and objectivity. He will never leave you to be beating about the bush. He tells us how we should comport ourselves. There is always an instruction and He is always specific. However, the truth is that God’s people never listen and then they turn around to blame Him.

I want you to notice the patience, the resilience and the consistency of Noah. He did according to all that God commanded him. That is how we should approach divine instructions. We must consistently and patiently walk in the light of His instructions. Think of the embarrassment and the ridicule that people would have given to Noah. They must have laughed him to scorn but Noah chose to be focused and resilient. He refused to give up despite the mockery. You will be shocked how many people have given up when they are almost close to God’s plan for them. They gave up because somebody laughed. They gave up their space because somebody accused and criticized them.

Child of God, don’t give up because of criticism, especially when you are a leader. Don’t throw up your hands! Stay focused! The God who called you is with you.

Noah kept building, even though he was misunderstood. The misunderstanding never changed him. I believe he kept on telling them: ‘’The flood is coming! Judgement is coming,’’ and no one was listening. Everyone was laughing at him. At times, you can expect so much from people and they will disappoint you. He thought that his preaching would have spurred them to believe him, but they never believed. However, he kept building until he finished the ark.
