KEEP HOLDING ON TO THE WORD

KEEP HOLDING ON TO THE WORD

“Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12 AMP)

Job said in the book of Job 14:14, all the days of my life will I wait until my change comes. He said this because he knew his change will definitely come. As a child of God you must only go by what you know in the Word, not by what you see. Even when everything is going contrary, you must boldly declare I know and I will wait until my change comes. Job 13:15 says, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him: but I will maintain mine own ways before Him.” In other words, I may not know why I am going through my situation, or why things have suddenly gone awry and people may misjudge me, but I will trust him.

Job 19:25 says, “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:” Job seems to be saying I know what others don’t know and so when He has tried me I will come out as pure as gold.

I want to tell you that whatever you see today is nothing compared to what you will see in the world to come. Therefore, you must have confident expectations because God’s words concerning you will never fail. He honours His word above His name. His covenant He will never break nor alter that which has gone out of His mouth. Forever His word is settled in heaven. Heaven and earth shall pass away but His word concerning you shall never pass away. God will show you mercy when you have no strength of your own, when your strength and efforts fail you. When you find yourself in the pit, He will come there, pick you up and set your feet on high places to stand. I can see you in the future shocking your world. You are going to rock your world. You will pursue, overtake and recover all. Don’t you dare write yourself off. Keep holding on to the word.
