JESUS IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD

JESUS IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want”. Psalm 23:1(KJV)

Now I know why David was outstanding. He said the Lord is my shepherd. As I said a few days ago, a shepherd chooses his sheep. Sheep don’t choose their shepherds. When you go to the supermarket saying you will buy multiple items, you choose what you want, and from then on, you take responsibility for them. David knew what it meant to be a shepherd. He knew what it was to take care of sheep and what it meant to leave them to the challenges of life. He said the Lord is my shepherd, and from this moment on, I shall not want.

The Shepherd takes responsibility for the total well-being of the sheep. Jesus is the good Shepherd! He will abundantly supply every need in your life. Stop struggling and start receiving. “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Psalm 23:5 (KJV). Sit at the table that the good Shepherd has prepared for you. Stop bothering about the enemy.

When Jesus Christ came and said, “It Is Finished”, the price for man’s redemption was paid. The debt you owe the adversary that kept you in bondage and deprived you of attaining the height that God had ordained has been paid. “It Is Finished”! Whatever is required has been paid. What are you waiting for? Why would you serve another God when you are covered? Your past, present and future are covered. Why are you anxious about tomorrow? It is already covered.

The greatest honour you can do to God is to receive what He has provided through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Just receive! Don’t try to understand it. Stop fretting! The good Shepherd has perfected your redemption. Rest in what has been perfected on your behalf. My body itches when I see believers fretting. If God says He can take care of the lilies of the valley and the birds of the air, He surely can take care of you.
