JESUS FEARED NOTHING

JESUS FEARED NOTHING

“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 (KJV)

Even Jesus, before ever He went into ministry, one of the things that God made sure He did was to reveal to Him that He was His own beloved Son. God was saying in essence: “My Son, before you step into ministry and before you go into the world to confront principalities and powers, always have it in your mindset that you are my beloved”

Notice that when the devil came to tempt Jesus, this very identity was what the devil began to fight. “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” (Matthew 4:3 KJV). Satan didn’t want Jesus to understand and to believe that He was God’s son. But Jesus kept telling him the devil that He wasn’t going to function based on what he was telling Him. Jesus chose to function, based on the revelation He already received.

“I am God’s son and the resources of heaven are at my disposal”. That was the mindset of Jesus. No wonder, He feared nothing. He was not afraid of death! He was not afraid of storms! He was not afraid of accusations. He was not afraid of anything. Even in the face of storm, He was sleeping. In the face of lack, He was not afraid because He knew that He was adequately supplied. At the tomb of Lazarus, He knew that He was the resurrection and the life. No fear in love! There is no room for fear when you know that you are living in love. When you are rooted and grounded in love, you fear nothing.

When you received Christ as your Lord and Savior, He’ll come in with the love of God. So, you can’t function in fear because you know how much God loves you. That is how you should function. Fear will always attract what you don’t want. Feed on the love of God and never give in to fear.
