JESUS CAME TO TAKE AWAY SIN

JESUS CAME TO TAKE AWAY SIN

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world”. John 1:29(KJV)

God decided to take away sin because man cannot take it away. The price for sin was beyond what any man could pay. So, He sent His son, Jesus. It, therefore, means that if my sin must be taken away, I must stop looking at sin, and start looking at the one that takes it away. In the book of John 1:35-36, the Bible says: “Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; and looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!” (KJV)

In the book of 1 John 3:5, the Bible declares: “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him is no sin”. (KJV). Jesus was manifested to take away the sins of the world. That is why He came, and in Him is no sin. The book of 1 John 3:8 says; “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil”. (KJV).

The works of the devil are sin and everything that comes with sin. God made Jesus to be sin for us so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). The scripture doesn’t say Jesus sinned; rather He was made our sin. Jesus knew no sin. He committed no sin. And in Him is no sin. But He was made sin. And if He had been made our sins, then our sins have been dealt with. If your sins have been dealt with, why are you looking back at your sins?

As often as you look at your sin, you are looking at death. When you look at the laws and examine yourself, you will always see weaknesses. But God does not want you to look at yourself. He wants you to keep your eyes on Jesus because He has been made your sin. Jesus is your qualification, not you.
