IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS

IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS

“But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, the just shall live by faith.” (Galatians 3:11 KJV)

Living your life under the law, is putting yourself under a curse. The bible enjoins that whosoever says he wants to live under the law should continue in it. Cursed is that man if he does not continue in it. If you obey all the commandments and yet offend in one, you have offended in all. That means anyone who wants to function by the law would be under curse. The bible says whoever knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is a sin. Which means we all are sinners (because we don’t always do good). And if God is going to judge us by our actions and not by grace, we will all go to hell, without exception. Jesus in a bid to make this very clear raised the bar in Matthew 5 when He said looking at a woman lustfully is adultery, just to let you know that it is impossible for you to keep the laws.

Thank God for Grace. I used to think that God blesses me because I am a man of God or because I gave more than every other person and yes, we must continue to give our best. But if that is the basis for which God would bless us, do you know that even our best offering, our best prayer, our best fasting, would still not be perfect before God. Do you know what makes it perfect; it becomes perfect because it passes through Jesus. Because Jesus is perfect it becomes perfect when he presents it.

You have no reason to boast about anything. Your best offering to God, your best worship, your best service to God is still imperfect because you are a human being. You still have limitations. So how does God accept what we have to offer; we go through our advocate, Jesus Christ. Once Jesus presents it, God sees it as a sweet smelling savour. So it’s not about you, it’s about Jesus. He is the one who said it is finished.
