IT IS NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN CONFESS, IT IS ABOUT WHAT CHRIST DID!

IT IS NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN CONFESS, IT IS ABOUT WHAT CHRIST DID!

“…. By his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Hebrews 9:12b KJV)

Can you truly confess all your sins? Can you confess every sin you commit in a day? Can you perfectly and completely without missing anyone out, confess all of them? Is there anyone who can succeed at this? In other words, from the moment you wake up till the time you go to bed, can you remember all the sins you committed and then confess them one by one so that you can be right. If you cannot, and I go by what the teachers of the law say, you are hell bound because the wages of sin is death.

Then the teachers of the law are quick to quote 1 John 1:9, if you confess your sin He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all your unrighteousness. Judging by their interpretation, un-confessed sins make you guilty (the ones you don’t confess which you don’t remember). It means you are guilty and all that you are doing here is a waste of time. All the going to church is just being religious; you are already a candidate for hell. So every day when you wake up, all the sins you remember and the ones you don’t remember, you must keep confessing them, because they are the things stopping you from receiving your miracles. If that is you, you have developed a sin consciousness instead of Christ-consciousness and the result is that you ignore and indeed trample under foot what Jesus Christ did for you.

Beloved, God knows your limitation! He knows you can’t remember everything. He came, wrapped Himself in human form, paid the full price for every sin ever before you were conceived – He knows your past, present and future. He knows what you are yet to do. He packaged all of them and put it on Himself so that even when you don’t remember, He does and obtained eternal redemption for you. So it is not about what you can confess, it is about you receiving what Jesus Christ did for you.
