IT IS DONE

“Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.’’ Hebrews 4:1

Rest is a revelation and as you begin to walk with God’s word, you will discover that He has not called you to a life of struggle. As a believer, you are wired to function from the position of solution and not from the point of impossibility.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says “If any man be in Christ, old things are passed away and all things have become new”. Now that you are in Christ, you become a recipient of all that Christ has and is. The scriptures put it this way in 2 Corinthians 1:20. It says ‘’For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.’’ All the promises of good health, prosperity, protection, preservation, finances and salvation are in Him. If you are in Christ, then all these promises and more are also in you.

You need to therefore stop this performance mode because God is already pleased with you. There is really nothing you can ever do that will move Jesus from His throne. Ever before you contemplated doing anything, He had already done it. Ever before the thought crossed your mind, He had already paid for it. He already paid the price for your total well-being.

All you do is a response of appreciation of His goodness and faithfulness over your life. When you think about all He has done for you, you naturally respond to Him who first loved you. Your response is your act of worship, thanksgiving and service. Rather than put yourself in a performance mode, seeking to get His endorsement, rest in what has already be done ever before you came to the scene. Enjoy the benefits that His death, burial and resurrection have already purchased for you.

Jesus is your new identity, so stop looking at yourself because when you do, all you see are your inadequacies. Look at yourself through Christ and you will catch the revelation that everything that Jesus is to God, you are also.
