IT IS AS GOOD AS DONE

IT IS AS GOOD AS DONE

“Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:”
Hebrews 6:17 KJV

Jesus is our High Priest, called of God after the order of Melchizedek. His priesthood is one that blesses not the one that curses. Look at what the Bible says in Hebrews chapter 6: 13-14, ‘For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by Himself, Saying, surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.’ He was looking for who to swear by. He looked to the left, to the right, to the front, to the back and even above, but found no one above Him. So, He swore by Himself.

So, Abraham endured and obtained God’s promise. (Hebrews 6:15) Those of you who are always giving up, stop giving up. The only way you would not be blessed is when you give up on the promise. Even the devil does not have that power to stop you as long as you are still standing on the promise of God. ‘Having done all to stand, stand…’ (Ephesians 6:13).

In Hebrews 6:17, we are told that God confirmed His promise with an oath. ‘Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath.’ Do you see why God can’t fail you? God wants to assure you. And He has given you double assurance. He has given you His Word that cannot fail. Then He said, if my Word is not enough (because of you and not because I would lie), let me swear just to assure you. That is a double assurance!  Your hope is sure. It is not like human hope. When you read about hope in the Bible, it is not human hope. The hope in the Bible is a joyful confident expectation. It is as good as done.
