INK YOUR THOUGHTS

INK YOUR THOUGHTS

“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)

We live in a time when technology has taken over every area of life. Everything that has advantages has its own disadvantages. One of the challenges of technology is that many have lost the art of writing. We do not even bother to attempt it; we are quick to open an App on our phones and everything we want is at our finger-tip. That is awesome. But do not hide under the cover of technology not to ink your thoughts.

It has been proven that over 65% of written goals get fulfilled. What do you want to achieve in 2020 and when? Don’t be afraid or intimidated, simply write it down. When you write it down, also put a date to it. Secondly, when do you hope to have achieved that goal? Write it down. Don’t be afraid. Dare to dream and dream big.

The next step is to answer the question: What do I need to do to achieve the goal? That is the critical question. God would not do for you what He expects you to do for yourself. He loves you so much that He laid down His life just for you. However, He still expects you to play your part. If you want to use an app on your phone, that is good but if you would go the ‘old-school’ way, then pick a pen and a jotter – don’t use any random paper that would fly away. Get a note book and write down your goals, the timelines and the activities you need to do to achieve them. Then commit it all to God in prayer. Schedule a time for each month when you would go through your ‘2020 plan’ and update it with progress report.

If you have someone around you that you can trust, then you can also get yourself an accountability partner – someone you can share your dreams with, who would hold you accountable. If you must have friends, don’t forget: He that must have friends must show himself friendly.
