IN CHRIST: YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

IN CHRIST: YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 (KJV)

God has testified that He has given us eternal life. Eternal life is not talking of length of time but God’s kind of life. This is what we received in Christ Jesus. The book 1 John 5:13 (TPT) says: “I’ve written this letter to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you will be assured and know without a doubt that you have eternal life.” Believers will live forever with Christ. But unbelievers will live forever in hell.

Eternal life is not what you will possess later. You already have it! This is why I don’t pray for people that they should make heaven. It has been written for me to know that I have eternal life and that already, I am a candidate for heaven. Praying for me so that I will make heaven cannot change anything. I already have eternal life. My seat in heaven is already secured. I usually say to people that if Jesus cannot secure me, I won’t serve Him. It is too risky to wait till I die before I know whether I will be in heaven. Supposing I get there and I find out that I missed it? I want to know and the bible is not ambiguous. God didn’t leave us without understanding.

You can see that these things are written so that you will know that you have eternal life in Christ. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away, and all things are become new. You have eternal life right now. Eternal life Is God’s kind of life. It is not length of time. It is God’s own quality of life. Christ came to give you a rich and satisfying life. Christ is a life-giver. What Christ came to do is to give life to a dying and decaying world. When Jesus appears in any place, He gives life.
