IMPACT YOUR WORLD

“… And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch” Acts 11:26 (KJV)

We are the Bible the world is reading. Action, we all know, speaks louder than words. The time for us to live out our faith is now. Let our lives radiate the love of God that we profess to ourselves and then to the world.

We are called to make a formidable impact in our world for the Kingdom. The word “formidable” is not a play on words. The word “formidable” means to inspire fear or respect, by being impressively large, powerful, intense, or capable” That is what it means to be formidable. We are not called to do small things; we are not playing children’s games. We are here to impact our world in such a manner that it cannot be ignored.

In our text for today, you will discover that the early believers did not announce that they are Christians. They had no signboard, newsletters, T-shirts, or jerseys, but their lifestyle and their conduct towards one another gave the world no better description of them than “Christians” – little Christs – they exhibited a spirit proper to the follower of Christ. Does that describe you? If you remove the sticker, the T-shirt, and the brand materials around you, will your world still see Jesus in you?

As we go out today to impact our world with various acts of kindness, thus showing Jesus to our world, let them also see Jesus in us in the way we relate to one another, in the way we work, and in the way we conduct ourselves. Let our light shine so bright that they will see Jesus in us and without announcing it, they will call us Christians.

Today is our global impact day, be a part of it. Contribute to what your church is doing. Except it is not possible, also be physically present. Yes, give your money, but in addition to the money, give your time. Let us do something that will leave a lasting impact on the lives of the people. Don’t just dump foodstuff and other gift items and go, leave an indelible mark. Do something measurable that weeks, months, and years after today will still be impactful.
