HOW DO YOU SEE GOD

“And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” Luke 15:31 (KJV)

Until you begin to see and understand God’s irrevocable, unconditional, blood-bought, iron-clad, unearned, unmerited, underserved, and extravagant love for you, you will continue to go without or at the best struggle for everything you desire.

Hear this: God demonstrated His love for us while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). His type of love (Agape) is the type that is always favourably disposed to dispense only good to us.

In the parable of the prodigal son recorded in (Luke 15:11-32), you will observe how good our heavenly Father is. The prodigal son had squandered his inheritance and was back home with his head bowed and was ashamed requesting to be a hired servant. He had taken time to review his life and concluded that he was no longer worthy to be called a son. But on arrival, his Father rather celebrated him and restored him. When the older son returned from work and heard about the celebration, he became angry and refused to enter the house. How ironic; you would have thought he will be glad and desire to know where his brother had been over the years, but that did not happen.

When the father asked him, what was wrong he began to complain. I served you these number of years and you have never considered me worthy to celebrate with my friends with just a little goat. How can you go all out to celebrate this your rebellious son? You are unfair. Can you see the wrong perception he had of his father? He saw his father as hard and stingy. He saw him as someone he had to work very hard to get anything. Unfortunately, he never realized that all along everything belonged to him and could take it, any time he desired.

Ignorance of your right and privileges in Christ will rob you of being all that God has ordained. Beloved everything is already yours, stop blaming your Father God (1 Corinthians 3:21). Learn to rejoice and celebrate others and see God’s love appearing in the most serious unexpected way.
