HOLD YOUR GROUND AND KEEP THE FAITH
“And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.” Mark 5:22-23 (KJV)
According to the scriptures, a religious ruler went to Jesus for the healing of her sick daughter. The religious ruler found out that his religion could not help him. He needed the truth because it is only the knowledge of the truth that can set a man free. Jesus went with him and many people followed him and thronged him. In verse 35 of the same chapter, the scripture declares: “While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?” In other words, he left home when she was sick to go and meet Jesus and now that he had met Jesus, her daughter is dead. It is like after you fasted and prayed, you are sicker than you had ever been. Jarius’ situation got worse!
As soon as Jesus heard the word, he said to Jairus: “…Be not afraid, only believe.” (Mark 5:36 KJV). And eventually, Jairus’ daughter was brought back to life. Beloved, I urge you this day to hold on to your profession of faith. Don’t be afraid! Don’t panic! Stand your ground! What God said about you will be fulfilled. If only you can hold your ground! The battle is no longer yours. It is a contest between He who made the promise and he that says you cannot get it. Be not afraid. Keep the faith.
It is your confession that maintains the process of your manifestation. Many of us stop the process with negative confession. We understand natural things but when it comes to spiritual things we pack up like a pack of cards.
Keep the faith! Don’t hang around anyone or anything that wants to speak contrary to what you are holding unto. Let your environment be filled with the answer.
