HAVE FAITH IN GOD AND NOT IN SELF
“that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5 (KJV)
According to the book of Hebrews 10:35-38: “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Clearly, the scripture lays a lot of emphasis on the just living by faith. But your faith must be in the power of God. Not in your wisdom or your achievements.
It is evidently established in the scriptures that you can’t please God without faith. Even at the point of salvation, God gave you faith. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV). It is not you! It is the gift of God!
The book of Romans 12:3 declares: “For I say through the Grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think”. In other words, the Bible is saying don’t be braggadocios or arrogant. Don’t pride yourself in your achievements when it comes to God. That is one of the major hindrance to our faith. Stop boasting about your achievements and your reputations. Stop boasting about the things you have. Rather, think soberly according as God has dealt with every man the measure of faith.
God gave to every one of us the measure of faith so that we can please Him. Now the question is, in whom are you having faith? Is your faith in yourself and what you can make happen or in God? This is the challenge to our manifestation.
