HARD TIMES DON’T CHANGE GOD’S PLAN

HARD TIMES DON’T CHANGE GOD’S PLAN

“And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s
prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.” Genesis 39:20 (KJV)

God had a colourful future of greatness for Joseph to become a prime minister in a strange
land, but he had to go through processing. When Joseph was sold to Potiphar in Egypt,
Potiphar left everything in the hands of Joseph. That was because Potiphar was prospering.
Potiphar found out that because of the presence of Joseph, he was prospering in all that he
did. As a result of what Joseph was carrying, Potiphar left everything in his hands. The same
thing applies to you when you walk into the dominion mandate. Understand that because of
you, anywhere you enter is blessed. You are carrying the blessing of God upon your life.

About this time, the master’s wife began to harass Joseph. She wanted to get him to sleep
with her, and Joseph refused. He said I will not do this terrible thing against God. Your
husband trusted me and put everything in my hands; I can’t do this wicked thing against him
and God. Joseph was later framed by Potiphar’s wife, who told her husband that the Hebrew
boy he brought into the house attempted to rape her, but there was no truth in it. Sometimes,
the process can be hard, bitter and challenging, but it is still part of God’s plan for where you
are going.

Joseph was kept in prison for doing what was right, but Joseph kept being the nice guy he
used to be. He still loved God, even while in prison. What do you do when framed up on your
way to your destination? What do you do when it appears as if God has abandoned you?
What do you do when everyone you leaned on and trusted has abandoned you, and you are
just on your own? You must understand that God does not jump ship. He is always there with
you. What Joseph went through did not change God’s plan.
