HAPPY RESURRECTION

“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

Matthew 28:6 (KJV)

The event that we celebrate today is the hallmark of our salvation. If Jesus did not resurrect, then there is no difference between us and the various religions, but thank God He did. Jesus not only paid the full price, He went into hell, took from the devil the authority Adam surrendered to him and when He arose, He gave us that authority to do everything He did.

When Jesus was crucified, the sins of the entire human race was put on Him. God did not put the sins of a select few on Him, but the entire sin of the human race. That is why salvation is available to “whosoever” will receive Him. The full price has been paid and today we celebrate His resurrection.

What makes it so exciting is that he died for us and He rose again for us. Today, He sits with the Father as the first begotten from the dead. If the Bible calls Him the first begotten, it implies that He is not the only one that will be resurrected. Every believer will rise again to reign with Him eternally. Life does not end here. If this is all there is to life, we are of all men most miserable, but he said to Mary and He says to us: he has gone to prepare a place that where He is, we will be forever and he left with a critical instruction: ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH. GO YE THEREFORE … in other words, go in that same power. Beloved, He has commissioned us to go and win souls for Him. He has commissioned us to spread the good news of His resurrection. You have been commissioned. Don’t sit idly; don’t close your mouth. The world needs what we have. He gave us a command and backed it with an assurance that He is with us all the way.

Today as you celebrate His resurrection, share the love of Jesus to the dying world and join hands with Him to depopulate hell and populate heaven.
