HAPPY NEW YEAR
Dearly Beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ the Son of the living God and our soon coming King. Welcome to the year 2020, the start of a brand new decade in which God has purposed to do great and mighty things in the lives of His children. Beloved get ready for incredible things in righteousness because God is set to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh; eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, nor hearts imagined the things that God has prepared for His children in this new year and decade (1Corinthians 2:9).
Congratulations to every living TREMITE on the 39th Anniversary of this ministry, we celebrate God’s faithfulness and goodness to us through the years. What started like a mustard seed has grown to be a force to be reckoned with, all by the Grace of God, and we give Him all the praise, glory and adoration. We thank Him, because we know that even in this decade, He will exceed our greatest expectations in the name of Jesus.
2020 is our year of All Grace and in this year, our focus must be on Jesus, if we are going to possess all that God has prepared for us.
“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” (Matthew 14:29-30 KJV)
Peter was able to do the impossible as long as his eyes were fixed on Jesus, but the moment he took his eyes off and started to focus on what was around him, he became afraid and began to sink. In this year of All Grace, we can only walk on water with our eyes on Jesus, because there will be situations and circumstances around us that will cause us to fear and lose heart, but as long as our eyes are on Him, then we will see the manifestation of Grace in all areas of our lives.
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), because our ability to walk on water this year will not be by our performance, but by His Grace. When our focus is on Him, we are acknowledging our complete and total dependence on Him. We are basically saying to Him we cannot Lord, but You can and His Grace is always available in our weakness (2Chronicles 20:12-14).
Beloved this year, put your eyes on Jesus and He will perfect all that concerns you. This year, you will give your greatest testimony yet of God’s goodness and faithfulness towards you. This year, you will do the impossible because All Grace is available to you.
Remember we will be having daily prayers here in church for the next 21 days, from tomorrow January 6, 2020, from 3pm-6pm. So make sure you avail yourself of the opportunity to attend these sessions. We will also be fasting every Friday for the rest of the year in the world of TREM. So make sure you participate in these spiritual exercises.
I bless you today in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Maranatha!
In His Royal Service,
Dr. Mike Okonkwo
