GRACE IS ALL ABOUT WHAT CHRIST DID
Comments
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:” (Galatians 3:13 KJV)
People who depend on following the law to make them right must do everything that is written in the law. If they do not always obey, they are under a curse. So it is clear that no one can be right with God by the law. The only way a person will find life by the law is to obey its commands (every single one of them). Aren’t you excited about Jesus? He took away the curse. You now have access to the blessing without the law.
The scripture says anyone who is hung on the tree is under a curse, so Jesus hung on the tree, took the curse and released the blessing to you. This action has brought the blessing that God promised to Abraham to all people. Christ died so that by believing in Him, we could have the Spirit that God promised. So why would you live your life under the curse rather than the blessing? Jesus died and rose from the dead that you might be blessed. Is the law bad? No! Romans 7:12 tells us that the law is not bad. The law is holy. It is perfect and divine. But the problem with it is that you cannot keep it. If you cannot keep it, God cannot bless you.
So God decided to take you out of the equation. He decided that He will keep it Himself on our behalf. So we are the sleeping partners. He paid the full price; He did it all and ours is to enjoy the benefits therein. The church of Christ over the years has preached the law. No wonder evil is increasing in the world today. Praise God there is a new sound coming to the church. It is called the sound of Grace. It is a new sound, so that the church may be established in grace. So that the church may know: that is not by power nor by might. It is about what Jesus did. It is His obedience that the Father is looking at.
