GRACE ENABLES YOU TO DO GOOD

GRACE ENABLES YOU TO DO GOOD

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, MAY abound to every good work:” (2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV)

Grace enables you to abound in every good thing. In Christ, God does not see sin in you. This is because He has put all of them on Christ. So, He won’t see them in you because you are born again. You are no longer on your own, you are in Christ. You have been In-Christed. When your life is centered on Jesus and his forgiveness and all He did for you, you will exceed what the law demands of you.

The law says “thou shall not covet”, but cannot command you to be generous. Only grace makes you generous. The law says “don’t commit murder”, but does not put the power to love and to forgive someone who has wronged you in your heart. Only the love and forgiveness of Jesus can do that in your heart and transform you. The law says “thou shall not commit adultery”, but it cannot put passion, love and forgiveness in your heart for your spouse. Only Jesus can do that.

When you are under Grace, not only will you fulfill the commands of the law, you will also end up unconsciously and effortlessly exceeding all the demands of the law. You will discover that you will exceed it because you are functioning under the law of love. That is what God meant when he said in the new covenant. “…I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:” (Hebrews 8:10 KJV)

The laws that God writes in our hearts are not ten commandments. They exceed the ten commandments. They are built on the royal law of love that flows from the heart of Jesus, and fills your heart and mind. When you have the love of God in your heart, it will overflow to others.
