GOD’S WORD HAS THE CAPACITY TO PRODUCE
“Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” Romans 4:18 (KJV)
When the grace of God reached out to Abraham, he was without visions, goals and aspirations. He was ready to die, and God told him it was not over yet. God wanted to show Abraham what He could do with a life yielded to Him.
When God told Abraham at seventy-five years old that he will become the father of many nations, he was already in his retirement age. Abraham was at Ur of Chaldees and as far as he was concerned, that was where he would end and die like his father. It was the night of his life. No one gave him a chance. But the Words of God are Spirit and Life. When God declares His Words, every other thing that is dead comes alive. Abraham and the wife had both passed the age of childbearing, but God’s Word never fails.
God told Abraham to leave his father, mother, kindred, and country to a land that He will show him. He said: I will bless you; I will make you great and make your name great. Your life will be a blessing and in you shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. Abraham departed immediately at the instance of God’s Word. And the whole thing about his life changed. Sarah’s body changed to the extent that Abimelech became attracted to her. A woman who was already in menopause became attractive because God spoke, and they held on to the Word of God.
Hold unto the Word and live by it because it is not devoid of power. It has the capacity to always produce. The Word will bring you into places you never thought you would enter. The doors that will open for you will shock you as you keep following the Word of God.
