GODLY WISDOM WILL DISTINGUISH YOU
Comments
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; ….” Proverbs: 2: 6-7 (NKJV)
Beloved, these are the last days and the nations and their leaders have no answers to the economic, political and social challenges they are faced with. On a daily basis, we are inundated with news of strange happenings and disasters across the world. And no one seems to have any explanations. The Bible says that “darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people” (Isaiah 60:2 KJV). This implies that things will not get better in the world. However, even as things get worse in the world, these are the best times for the believer because we are the light of the world. So, we should shine as the light that God has made us to be.
Now the begging question is: How can these things be? How can I stand out as a believer, especially in these last days? My challenge with many believers today is that they think they can do things the way the world does and still shine as light. This is totally wrong! You cannot beat the world’s system by using their own tools. Jesus speaking in Luke 16:8b said, “…for the children of this world are in their own generation wiser than the children of light.” Beloved, to beat the world’s system, you need to operate on a superior platform. You need the wisdom that only God gives. It is Godly wisdom that will distinguish you.
The Bible gives us a clear indication from our scripture this morning, that it is God who gives wisdom. God is the source of all wisdom and knowledge. He is wisdom personified. Therefore, you have an assurance that whenever you ask God for wisdom, you’ll receive. It is part of the rights and privileges that accrue to you as a new creation. Child of God, this is not wisdom that is common to everyone. This wisdom has been stored up and reserved for God’s people; it is available to you.
