GODLY WISDOM WILL DISTINGUISH YOU
Dearly beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every name, Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God and our soon coming King. I’m delighted to share God’s word with you today, and I want us to look at a few things from the scriptures, that will rightly position you to receive all that God has ordained for you.
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.” Prov. 2: 6-7 (NKJV)
Beloved, these are the last days and the world and her leaders have no answers to the economic, health, peace, educational, etc., challenges they are faced with. On a daily basis, we are inundated with news of strange happenings, news of disasters across the world, and no one seems to have any explanations. Like I’ve always said, things will not get better in the world; the Bible says that “darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people” (Isaiah 60:2). However, even as things get worse in the world, these are the best times for the believer, because we are the light of the world, and so should shine as the light that God has made us to be.
Now the begging question is, “how can these things be?” “How can I stand out as a believer, especially in these last days?” My challenge with many believers today is that we think we can do things the way the world does, and still shine as light, totally wrong! You cannot beat the world’s system using their own tools. Jesus speaking in Luke 16:8b said, “…for the children of this world are in their own generation wiser than the children of light.” Beloved, to beat the world’s system, you need to operate on a superior platform. You need the wisdom that only God gives; Godly wisdom will distinguish you.
The Bible gives us a clear indication from our scripture this morning, that it is God who gives wisdom. God is the source of all wisdom and knowledge; He is wisdom personified. The book of James 1:5 (KJV) says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” Therefore, you have an assurance that whenever you ask of God for wisdom, you receive. It is part of the rights and privileges that accrue to you as a new creation. But look at Prov. 2:7 again, it says that God “stores up sound wisdom for the upright”, what does that mean? Let’s look at the same scripture in the Amplified version;
“He hides away sound and godly wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him); He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity”.
Did you see that? Another translation says that “He has reserved priceless wisdom for decent people…”
Child of God, this is not wisdom that is common to everyone, but has been stored up and reserved for God’s people, you and I. There are times that you are faced with complex issues, and you need to resolve them, what this scripture is saying is that, there’s a wisdom that has been reserved for you to resolve that seemingly complex situation, because you are a child of God. Even at your office, when it seems like you are at crossroads, not knowing which way to turn, and everyone is looking up to someone to give direction, from this scripture you know that God has stored up priceless wisdom for you, so you can proffer solutions and give direction to the company, for the benefit of everyone. However, like I always say, it will not fall on you like a bag of cherries; you will need to access this wisdom. If it were common, everyone would have access to it, but it is not.
The bible says in Proverbs 25:2 (KJV), “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” As believers, we have been made kings and priests unto our God (Rev. 5:10), and therefore, we have a duty to search out the hidden wisdom that the world is in dire need of. Of what use would the church be, if we cannot proffer the solutions to the economic, educational, family, societal, and health challenges that have beleaguered the world today? That’s why God has placed us here at such a time as this.
So how do you access this wisdom? The bible says in Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV), “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” The key to accessing this wisdom is by seeking and searching; developing an intimate relationship with the Father. That’s the only way to operate on this superior platform. It is only through intimate fellowship with the Lord that He reveals all that He has stored up for your glory.
Beloved, you are called to be a solution provider; you are light and must be able to give direction wherever it is needed, because of your God-advantage. Godly wisdom will distinguish you, so leverage on it. I decree that this week, as you operate in godly wisdom, you will stand out amongst equals; men shall kiss your lips because you have the right answer. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
Maranatha!
