GOD WILL DO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO

GOD WILL DO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO

“And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.”
Mark 16:4 KJV

When Jesus had come to the end of His ministry, He was facing arrest. They were coming after Him. They were coming after His life and the human element in Him began to cry out. “Father is there another way?” And heaven was silent. God didn’t say anything. It looked as if the devil had the final word. But the prophecy of Isaiah was being fulfilled: “…He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth”(Isaiah 53:7 KJV).

When Jesus was finally arrested, it looked as if all hope was lost. They spat on Him. They pulled His beards, striped Him and nailed Him to the cross. They said to Him, ‘if you are the Son of God come down and let us see.’ The thief on His left hand said, save yourself and save us. Soon, Jesus said, “It is finished” and gave up the ghost. They took Him and buried Him, believing it was over. The chief priests and Pharisees were not satisfied with putting Him in a tomb. They sent soldiers to guard the tomb. After they had rolled a stone to cover the tomb, they stayed to guard it, so no one would come to steal His body and say ‘He has risen from the dead.’

And the Bible says that Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James went to the tomb on that third day. Before they left, they were worried; wondering who shall help them to roll away the stone. That was their preoccupation. But when they got there, the stone was rolled away.

Beloved, God doesn’t need human effort. He will do what He wants to do. He is Jehovah. So right now, there are some of you who are at the finishing line and you are almost throwing up your hands. Brace up and let that fire return to your eyes because head or tail, you win.
