GOD SEES YOU IN CHRIST

GOD SEES YOU IN CHRIST

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)

In time past, the church ostracized young people, calling them animals, hemp smokers, fighters, drug addicts and so on but that is not the gospel. We have preached that over the years and the Lord has out of His mercies, blessed the church. But if we desire to function in the dimension of power, we must begin to teach people the cure for sin. The gospel is the cure for sin. The gospel is good news; over-the-top, too good to be true news. We must tell them that God is no more imputing sin to them because of the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Come to think of it! How did you become a sinner? You did not become a sinner because of the sins you committed. You became a sinner because of Adam’s sin. The reason why you steal, kill, fornicate, commit adultery is because you are a sinner. And it is natural for sinners to sin. If by the sin of Adam we became sinners, by the same token, by the righteousness of Jesus we are made righteous. It is not by your own obedience and so you must stop looking at yourself, because if you do, you must see fault. Rather, look at the obedience of Christ and factor in the fact that you could not fulfill the law but he came and fulfilled it on your behalf.

Every time God looks at you he sees Christ because as many as are baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor gentile, neither bond nor free, neither male nor female. We are all one in Christ and heirs according to the promise. According to John 1:29, Jesus is the Lamb of God that came to take away sin and he did a perfect job of it. So then if he has taken away sin it doesn’t exist anymore. You must stop glamourizing sin. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation old things are passed away.
