GOD IS YOUR DEFENSE

“For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.” Zechariah 2:8

We live in a world where fear is suddenly becoming the order of the day. There is so much violence going on all over the world, nowhere is safe. But I want to encourage you to be relaxed, God has your back. He is committed to keeping you safe because you are the apple of His eye.

Safety, at every level is of the Lord. That is where sensitivity in the Spirit comes in. Please don’t take things for granted. There is nothing too small to talk to God about. The psalmist said “Commit your ways unto the Lord …” He did not say commit some of your ways or most of your ways; but commit your ways, he did not leave any part out. Don’t think something is too small to discuss with God. In prayers, commit your entire day into the hand of God. Be sensitive to His leading.

Isaiah 30:21 says “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and to the left”. That is what God expects. He wants you totally dependent on Him so He can guide you and when He guides, He ensures your safety.

Safety is not dependent on any human mechanism. Everything human has a margin for failure. So stop looking at man, look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Depend totally on Him and be assured that a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand by your right side, it will not come near you. Be rest assured that God is with you and so nothing and no one can be against you. With your ears, you will hear the news, but it will never come near you in the name of Jesus. God is your refuge and fortress.
