GOD IS WORKING IN ME

GOD IS WORKING IN ME

“…He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

Psalm 23:3 (KJV)

I don’t know how to live for God. I want to do good things, yet I see myself doing the wrong. The good I want to do, I find myself not doing it. The bad I don’t want to do I see myself gravitating to it. So, what does He do? He takes over! “He leadeth me in the path of righteousness.” Why? “… For His name’s sake.”

One of His sheep has jumped into the mud. He has to bring me out, wash me, clean me up and still accept me. Jesus was rejected that I might be accepted. I am a son in the house. It is not contingent on whether I do right or wrong. He decided to make me a son. So, in my walk with him, I might fall apart, I might fall at times but that does not change my designation. I am a beloved son. So, He is at work in me for His name’s sake. Why? Because I bear His name. It is too late He can’t change it.

I was on my own and He chose me. He is all-knowing. He knew I will blow it, but He still chose me. He knew I will disappoint Him, but He still chose me. He knows that at times my feet will be dirty. He knows I will fall through the banana peels of life. But He chose me.

Some people think there is a surprise they will spring on God. There is no surprise you can give to Him. He already knows your past, present and future and so He covers it. You bear His name! So, when you are messing up, He is thinking of His name – “I had better bring him out before he spoils my Name.” That was why David was able to navigate his way back. God was working through him. He is the one who provides the willingness and doing. So you are covered. Rest in Him.
