GOD EXPECTS YOU TO BEAR FRUITS
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” John 15:16 (NKJV)
In Christ, you are expected to bear fruits. However, if you don’t know your roots, it will be difficult to produce the fruits expected of you. There are things that God Himself has ordained that believers should accomplish in different parts of the world.
The Bible doesn’t tell us to isolate ourselves from the world. We are in the world, but we are not of the world! However, we cannot isolate ourselves from the world. We are still on Earth! But the world is not affecting us. Rather, we are affecting our world as change agents.
Are you living a life of impact? Is your light shining for the world to see? If the world begins to affect you as a believer, then know that you cannot bear fruits. You cannot shine your light! Jesus said: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 (KJV).
Men are expected to see your good works. That is what will cause them to glorify our Father in heaven. It is wrong to claim to be a Christian, yet there is no evidence to show for it. We live in a world today where people feel, “You know, I am saved by grace, and so anyway I live does not matter”. That is a lie from the pit of hell! Every seed produces after its kind. Your fruits must show that you are in Christ.
