GOD DOES NOT ABANDON HIS OWN
Comments
“But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27 (NKJV)
The Lord himself constrained the disciples to enter the ship and go to the other side. It was not their own initiative, but they obeyed and entered the ship. As soon as their ship got into the midst of the sea, here was the wind shaking them. In the fourth watch of the night Jesus went on to them, walking on water. When the shaking was on, the Lord didn’t leave them to their fate because he does not abandon his own. Once you are standing on the Word, heaven is obligated to ensure you are protected. The Lord went unto them not with a boat but walking on the sea. That means if need be, he can close down a whole government to ensure that what He spoke to you will come to pass. He didn’t have to wait for a boat. Why? Because he told them to go to the other side and they were obedient. He went unto them walking on the sea, that same sea that was problematic.
“And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit;” (Matthew 14:26 KJV). And they cried out for fear because they have never had such an experience in their lives. Remember, prior to this time, the multitude had been sent away because this greater glory was not for them. Like some people in church, all they want is, give me a husband, give me a child, etc. and once they get all these things, it is enough for them. There is nothing wrong with having any of these and having money in your pocket to pay your bills, they’re all important. But if you have all these things and you are not rooted in the Word of God, the storm of life will shake it out of your hands.
The scriptures said the disciples were afraid, saying what can this be? But straight way, when Jesus saw that they were afraid, He spake unto them saying be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid. The disciples did not understand that he can manifest in different ways. In your life, you shall see different manifestations of God! The types that you have never seen before.
