GOD DETERMINES YOUR DESTINY

GOD DETERMINES YOUR DESTINY

“The Lord is my inheritance and my cup. You are the one who determines my destiny”.  Psalm 16:5 GWT

God is the one who determines your destiny; not the devil, not your grandfather and certainly not the lineage you came from. It is God! No one is an accident on earth! God knew of you before you were born. He knew and He has designed a plan for your life before He allowed you to be born. So, your background is immaterial in this very issue.

Let’s look at our text again, it says: “The Lord is my inheritance and my cup. You are the one who determines my destiny. Your boundary lines mark out pleasant places for me. Indeed, my inheritance is something beautiful. (Psalm 16:5, 6 GWT).

The Psalmist is saying in essence; when my boundary lines were being marked out, He left out bad places and ensured that the places marked for me are good. So, you see, your ground is productive already. The lines are fallen unto you in pleasant places. I declare to you, there will be water in your land because God has already marked out the place for you. No one can steal what God has already given to you. It is God that determines destiny. No one has what it takes to abort the destiny that the Lord had determined concerning you. So, stop fretting. It is not about location. It is about you and the destiny that you carry.

The righteous must always expect good things to happen to him. You are righteous! Therefore, expect good things. Don’t expect bad things because your boundaries have been marked with beautiful things. Even if others are not making good sales or breaking even, you will be profitable. Your case is different because the lines have fallen unto you in pleasant places. In Christ, you have been made the heir of God. Now that you have become the heir of God, you can never lack. There is nothing like poverty for an heir. There is nothing like a sickness! There is nothing like a disease! There is nothing like pain! In Him, you have a goodly heritage.
