GOD ALWAYS GIVES ADVANCE INFORMATION
Comments
“And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:16-17 KJV
God, with a very clear voice from heaven announced to everyone that Jesus is His Son and He is pleasing to Him. Jesus didn’t have to do anything before the Father said that. God just looked at Him and said this is My Son and I delight in Him. Jesus heard it and everyone heard it! Every time God makes a promise and a commitment to you through the scriptures or through prophetic utterance, it is not only you that hears it. And the reason he tells you and gives you promises is for you to have advance information.
No teacher or lecturer sets an examination for his students on a subject he has not taught them. He has to first teach them before setting an exam. God’s promises to you are advance information of the blessings He had made available to you: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally and in different areas of your life. Why is He telling you? Because the devil will come to challenge it. The onus now lies on you to say to the devil: ‘Listen you cannot challenge this thing and you cannot make me do anything because I am already standing on what the Father told me ever before you came’.
God is always going ahead of the devil. So, there is no new thing he will pull out which God has not already settled. For instance, the bible tells us that the lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. In other words, there was already provision for salvation ever before man fell. When the devil came against Adam, it was too late. That was why the Father had to get a type of the sacrifice and covered Adam. Why? The lamb has already been slain. This understanding will establish you and help you to enjoy your Christian life.
