FUNCTION IN THE WORD

FUNCTION IN THE WORD

“And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.” Matthew 14:22 (KJV)

The Lord constrained the disciples to enter the ship and go to the other side. It was not their initiative, but they obeyed and entered the ship. There was a storm when their ship reached the middle of the sea. In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went on to them, walking on the sea. When the storm hit them, the Lord didn’t leave them to their fate because He does not abandon His own. Once you stand on the word, heaven must ensure you are protected. The Lord went unto them not with a boat but walking on the sea. In other words, if need be, He can close a whole government to ensure that what He spoke to you will come to pass. He didn’t have to wait for a boat. Why? Because He told them to go to the other side, and they obeyed His word. He went unto them walking on the sea, that same sea that was problematic.

According to the scripture: “…when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit;”. (Matthew 14:26 KJV). They cried out for fear because they had never had such an experience. They had never witnessed such glory before! When you choose to function by the Word, you will experience a greater glory in your life.

There is nothing wrong with having material blessings. It is beautiful to have money in your pocket to pay your bills. But if you have all the material things, and you are not rooted in the word of God, the storm of life will shake them out of your hands.

Beloved, I encourage to today to continually function in the Word of God. You can never be stranded when you function in the Word of God. No matter the storm, God will show up for you.
