FUNCTION BY WHAT YOU KNOW
Comments
“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.” Job 19:25 (KJV)
Life happens to everyone! And you are not in a position to determine what will happen to you in life at all times. Diverse things are bound to happen to you. But you have total control of how you will respond to things. You have no business responding to things as ordinary persons because as a believer you are not an ordinary person. There is something that you know which the ordinary person cannot know.
That’s why the bible tells us that: “We walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthian 5:7 KJV). In Romans 8:28 the apostle Paul declares: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (KJV)
That means that all the things that the devil meant for evil will ultimately work together for your good. You are not going to end a failure! Your future is already bright and colourful. The believer must always function from a place of knowing.
In the midst of his challenge, Job was able to say: “For I know that my redeemer liveth,…..” This man was stretched with heavy duty challenges in his life that would make anyone to give up. But he held on. He chose not to function by what he was seeing but by what he knew. At times what you are seeing contradicts what you know inside you. You know that somehow you will come out, but you don’t know how.
It was what Job knew that kept him going. He knew that he had a Redeemer and that his Redeemer was alive. He was saying, I may not be able to explain what is happening to me, but I know that my Redeemer is alive. And He will certainly see me through. Your Redeemer will see you through.
I encourage you to be like Job and get to know Him and walk in the truth that you know and the truth will set you free.
