FUNCTION AS THE CONVERTED

FUNCTION AS THE CONVERTED

“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you
as wheat: but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted,
strengthen thy brethren.” Luke‬ 22:31-32 (KJV)

It is very important at this critical moment in the history of man when the entire world is in a
cup of trembling that the church should remove all the roadblocks and deploy our full potential.
We can’t hold anything back any longer because the enemy we are contending with is not
playing fair. We cannot go on vacation from the things of God.
The converted must come out of his closet. The converted must come out of the cave. And the
converted must come out of their bed of ease and get into the battlefield. There is a war going
on and it’s intensifying, we are talking about the converted not the followers. It is possible to be
in the church for many years and yet you are not converted. It is possible to be in the church
and you are only among the comers and not the converted. It is possible to be coming to church
for several years and you are only an admirer and not the converted.
The word “convert” is relative and applicable to different areas. It means to change something
into different forms or properties. It means to transmute, transform, adopt a different religion,
and adopt a political doctrine or opinion. For example – power can be converted into electricity.
Water can be converted into ice. Water can be converted into energy. So, the word converted
is not just relative to our faith. It is not talking about how one gets converted from Islam to
Christianity. It is not only relative to faith because there are so many things that can be
converted.
To be truly converted is to turn into a particular purpose or to modify it to serve a different
purpose. When you are converted, you become an instrument to serve the purpose of God.
