FOLLOW GOD SHEEPISHLY

FOLLOW GOD SHEEPISHLY

“Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.” (Genesis 22:4 KJV)

Beloved, the very thing you are looking for in life is in a particular place. And you will never see it until you step out in faith, even when it looks stupid. Sometimes, I hear people say, I am waiting on God. No! God has been waiting on you. He has been right there before you, waiting for you to come and take what has been paid for. It is already done!

From our text, as Abraham and his men approached the mountain, he saw the place afar off. Deep calleth unto deep. He knew that that was the mountain. Then he said to his servants: “… Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.” (Genesis 22:5 KJV).

You see, Abraham didn’t want the servants to talk him out of it. There are some crazy things you want to do, based on your relationship with God and you don’t discuss them with people. Abraham saw anything he does for God as worship because God had done so much for him. He must have remembered that he was an idol worshipper and God picked him and blessed him. He had already retired and wasn’t looking forward to having a baby, but God blessed him with a baby. Now he is grown up; if God says He wants it, then so be it.

The reason many of us struggle in our sacrifices and why we hold back on the things we do for God is that we think that is where our life is. We fail to see things the right way. As they were going, Isaac said, daddy where is the sacrifice? He said son, don’t worry, the LORD will provide for Himself a sacrifice. And that was exactly what happened.

Beloved, in your walk with God, when you follow Him sheepishly, He will take you to your place of destiny in Christ Jesus. You cannot follow divine instructions and still be stranded. Every instruction you follow will ultimately take you to the place of blessing.
