FOCUS ON YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIST
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV)
The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. But if all you believe in is thou shall not do this or that, you will eventually be awakened to sin. And if all you keep on hearing is sin, you will continue to sin. The issue of grace had been confusing even in the Bible days, no wonder they asked the Apostle of grace the question, “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?” When he was trying to teach the message of grace, even Apostle Peter said this man is teaching things hard to understand. This was because people heard him teaching that God does not bother about sin, the same is true today. But I read in my Bible that sin shall not have dominion over you, because you are no longer under the law but under grace. This is why I teach grace because the more you understand grace, the more the power of sin over your life is broken and then sin shall not have dominion over you.
The law gives you the knowledge about sin. Paul said I was going about my business, living my life without sin because there was no law. But the day law was introduced I died. The church has remained dead over the years, without power, because we are not teaching righteousness- consciousness, but sin-consciousness. Beloved, until you focus on the finished work of Calvary and receive it, you will not be able to walk freely as God desired. We are not called to understand the work of Salvation, but to believe and receive it. The scripture is still true: if thou shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). You don’t have to understand it, simply believe and you become. That is the gospel – the good news we are called to share
