FOCUS ON THE SPOKEN WORD, NOT ON YOUR EXPERIENCE

FOCUS ON THE SPOKEN WORD, NOT ON YOUR EXPERIENCE

“Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations,
according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be.” Romans 4:18 (KJV)

The scripture tells us in the book of Genesis chapter 12 that God went to a heathen land and
called out Abram from an idol-worshipping background. God said to him: “Get out of your
country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I
will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a
blessing.”(Genesis 12:1-2 NKJV)

From the scriptures, we know that Abraham had doubts initially. That was why he went into
Hagar, and Ishmael was produced. However, when Abraham believed, God made dead things
come alive. There might be dead things in your life today; get ready, they are coming alive.
Believers are all over the place calling the things that be as they are. No! You are not
designed to call the things that be as they are. You have been raised to call the things that be
not as though they are. That is the scripture. He calls those things which be not as though they
were and they become.

Call forth your desires as if they are there, not what you are experiencing. Calling your
experience does not change anything. You are walking in faith when you begin to call what
you are not experiencing but what you desire. What do you desire today? What are your
expectations? What do you want God to do for you? Anchor your faith upon what the Lord
has spoken.

Everything around Abram was crying that it would never happen. But Abraham believed
against all human hope, not according to what he was experiencing but according to what was
spoken. Always remember what God said: “So shall My word be that goes forth from My
mouth; It shall not return to Me void… “(Isaiah 55:11 NKJV). When you are ready to believe
God, then what He has said will come to pass.
