FOCUS ON THE ALMIGHTNESS OF GOD
Comments
“Then said David to the Philistine, thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” 1 Samuel 17:45 (KJV)
In today’s reading, we see David speaking from the point of covenant. David said everyone else may be running from Goliath, but I know who I am. I am a covenant man! While others were looking at Goliath, he was focusing on the Almightiness of his God. That was why he was able to say to Goliath, you are coming to me with shield and spear, but I am coming to you in the name of the Lord God of Israel who you have defiled. Today, this same God is going to give your head to me and your body to the fowls of the air, so that they will know that there is no other God except the God of Israel.
The same with the woman with the issue of blood who was left for dead, all the efforts of doctors had failed. Her money failed and everything else failed. But she heard that there was a man in the corner making the lame to walk, the blind to see and the deaf to hear, and she said no to death! She focused on the Almightiness of Jesus and with a touch of faith she was healed.
Beloved, the doctor may call it cancer, but there are people who have been delivered from cancer. Why not you? If Lazarus who was dead for four days in the grave came out, there is no miracle you want that you cannot receive. Our God is still the God of miracles signs and wonders.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever! You will not die of sickness. You will not die of accident. You will not die of poverty. He is working all things out together for your good. He is bringing out beauty from your ashes, joy out of the pains, testimony from the test of life, triumph from the trials you are encountering and glory from the groaning of your life.
