FIND YOURSELF IN THE BIBLE
“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
James 1:25 (KJV)
The secret of David’s success was in his ability to locate himself in God’s covenant with Israel. In Psalm 27 he declared: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.” (Psalms 27:1-4 KJV)
What was David enquiring about? Simple! Tell me who I am so that I can function in whom you say I am. In other words, He was living from the mouth of God.
Beloved, this should be your greatest quest as a child of God. And that is why the bible says: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33 KJV) Seek God’s ways of doing things. Seek to have a clearer and deeper insight into your right standing in Him. Know that you have access into the throne room.
If I go anywhere in the world, I don’t cover my head. Anywhere I go in the world, I just know that my needs will be met because I am in Christ. I am royalty. Royalties are never stranded. Somehow, God will supply my needs. And since I discovered this truth, I have never been stranded anywhere. Why? I found out who I am in the bible. The problem with many believers is that they have failed to locate themselves in the bible. Beloved, locate yourself in the bible and nothing shall be able to keep you down. You will fulfill destiny because in Christ you cannot be stopped.
