FEED YOUR MIND WITH THE GOOD NEWS OF CHRIST
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.” Luke 4:18 (ESV)
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news. Jesus tells us in the scripture above that the reason for His anointing is to proclaim the good news. For too long, you have been feeding your mind with bad news. And yes, I understand that we live in very precarious times, but Jesus came to give us good news. It is high time you began to feed your mind and spirit with the good news of Christ. And what is the good news? You will make it! You will succeed! No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper and many other precious promises in the Bible.
Feed on the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know it is important to listen to the news and to keep abreast of the happenings in society. But your heart must be so fixed on the good news of the gospel that even when you are watching the news, and the tales of dooms start, you can boldly declare to yourself that your case is different. When the news is saying recession, you declare to yourself it is not my portion. As for me and my household, there is a lifting. This is what it means to live by the Word of God.
Your situation may look so bleak, that you can’t even see your way out of it, but the bibles tell us: “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”(2 Corinthians 4:6 KJV)? Therefore, you shall not be defeated. God sent His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in Him, will not perish, but will have everlasting life. Our part is to believe the good news. God’s part is to bring the Word to pass.
