FEED ON THE WORD

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8 (KJV).

God wants you to bury yourself in this book of life. Bury yourself in the Word. And when you do, you will be able to speak it out. This is the hour to speak God’s Word to yourself. Speak it every day, night, and noon. Speak it in your bathroom. Speak it on the highway. Speak it to yourself because a lot of things will be speaking to you, telling you that you are not going to survive and that you are going to die very soon. That is not what you want, you want to speak what is living.

Concerning the Word, Jesus declares: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63 KJV). God told Joshua not to allow the Word to depart out of his mouth. Joshua, meditate therein, think about it, think through it, when you wake up, think through it when you are on the street, think through it, think about it when you are about to sleep, and then what you will see is that it will produce an action. You will start acting like it. Then He said because of it, you will make your way prosperous and you will have success. The scripture doesn’t say God will make you. It says “thou shalt make thy way….” It is your choice!

Everyone wants to succeed. No one wants to fail. But you must make a quality decision to feed on God’s Word. Now look at another scripture in the book of Psalms 1:1-3: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditates day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

This passage of the scripture underscores the need to constantly feed on the Word of God.
