FALL IN LOVE WITH GOD’S WORD

FALL IN LOVE WITH GOD’S WORD

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17 – (KJV)

God knows that we are in a very wicked world. We are in a wicked world that does not want us to have all the good things in life. We are in a world that wants us to violate our relationship with God. We are in a wicked world that wants us grounded. We are in a wicked world that wants to take what belongs to us. But God has given us His Word.

Yes, this world is terrible and dangerous! But Christ did not pray that we should be taken out. Does that mean that God wants us to partake in what the world is partaking in? Of course not! The prayer of the Lord is that you should be kept from evil. Amid the calamity and disaster, the Lord will keep you.

How will God keep His covenant people? Through His Word! “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” (John 17:17 NKJV). To sanctify is to separate! In other words, the Word of God separates the believer from evil. So, you should fall in love with God’s Word because that is your reality.

Beloved, God’s word is not just a religious book that you read to feel religious. The Words of God are the reality! The Word of God is the Truth! The challenges you are encountering are not the Truth! The challenges you are having with your children are not the Truth. What is not the Truth is temporary! “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (II Corinthians 4:18 NKJV). What you see is temporal! It is subject to change! But the Word of God is the final authority in every circumstance.
