FAITHFUL SERVICE WILL SET YOU APART.

FAITHFUL SERVICE WILL SET YOU APART.

“So Jesus called them all together to him and said, “You know that those who are considered
rulers of the heathen have power over them, and the leaders have complete authority. This,
however, is not the way it is among you. If one of you wants to be great, you must be the
servant of the rest; and if one of you wants to be first, you must be the slave of all. For even the
Son of Man did not come to be served; he came to serve and to give his life to redeem many
people.” Mark 10:42-45 (GNT)

In our text today, Jesus shared the secret of greatness with His disciples. He shared with them
about service. When it comes to service among the gentiles, when it comes to service, they
wait for people to serve them. But in the kingdom, it is not so. There are different operations in
the kingdom. In the kingdom of God, the greatest are those who serve, not those who wait to
be served. In the world, however, everyone wants to be served. But according to Jesus, those
who are members of this kingdom don’t wait to be served. They serve and that is what sets
them apart. Therefore, find your place of service and serve faithfully.
The truth is that you can’t serve God and not be rewarded, In the book of Luke 22:28-30, you
will notice what Jesus said, “Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And
I appoint unto you a Kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; that ye may eat and drink
at my table in my Kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” He said He
has appointed a place for those who had continued with Him regardless of the trials,
temptations, misconceptions, accusations, condemnations, and tribulations. He has appointed
unto them a kingdom as His Father has appointed unto Him that they may eat and drink at his
table in His Kingdom. You cannot serve God and lose!
