EXTEND GRACE TO PEOPLE

EXTEND GRACE TO PEOPLE

‘’Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.’’

Colossians 3:12-13 KJV

But it is important to know that we must allow this grace that we have enjoyed to be in motion. We must extend grace to people. That is the true essence of Christianity. Don’t bad mouth people because you don’t know what they are going through! Don’t let people leave church and leave worse than they came. When they are going home, they should leave with a take-away that they had an encounter with God.

Don’t develop the attitude that says: “I don’t care whether they eat or not”. What is wrong in taking a friend to the restaurant and giving him a good lunch? What is wrong in offering a drink to people who are coming for the first time? That is fellowship. You brought the person into your ship and you are enjoying your ship together.

Extending grace to others is important, that is why it is in the scriptures. It is written in the scriptures so that we can see how we can be helpful to one another. May the Spirit of God give you a new level of understanding in this regard. May we not be people who are desensitized. May we not be people who care less about people whom the Holy spirit draws to us. May we be instruments in the hands of God to establish other believers. May we be a source of encouragement to those who are discouraged.

You see, if you have received grace, there will be a change in your attitude towards people. You can’t receive grace and still be mean to people. You can’t receive grace and turn a blind eye to the needs of others. You can’t receive grace and still refuse to forgive others. Grace will always bring a change in your life.
