EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY IS A DECISION

Dearly Beloved, welcome to February, a month wherein you will be sought after; believe it, expect it, because you will surely experience it. How amazing is it that we are already in the second month of the year 2021, indeed we serve a faithful God. The Bible lets us know that His mercies are new every morning, and so everyday of this year I declare you will enjoy God’s mercies in all areas of your life. In this year of Exceeding Abundantly, you will enjoy an overflow of mercies in the name of Jesus.

 

Beloved, I want you to know today that every promise God makes to us, is an indication of what He has already perfected concerning you, and so Exceeding Abundantly is already a done deal, however, it will not fall on you like a pack of cherries. You have to take a quality decision that this year, Exceeding Abundantly must be a reality in your life. What this means is that whatever He tells you to do, you will do it, whether you fully understand it or not.

 

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;” – Genesis 26:12-13 (NKJV)

 

In Genesis 26, the Bible states that there was a famine in the land where Isaac was, and as any normal person would, he wanted to leave the land of famine and seek greener pastures elsewhere. However, God told him to stay put, and made him a promise to be with him and to bless him. Now Isaac could have discounted the voice because irrespective of what he heard, he still had the realities of a famine to contend with, so why would God tell him to stay there? Beloved, maybe you find yourself in a similar situation like Isaac, and you are asking, “Why would God put me in such a difficult situation, especially when the Bible says in 3 John 2, ‘I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers’ – does experiencing a famine look like prosperity?”

 

Child of God, with such thinking, don’t be surprised to find yourself immediately discounting the voice as not being from God. However, Isaac obeyed, dwelt in that land and also sowed in the same land. You see, the quicker we understand that God’s ways are not our ways, neither are His thoughts are our thoughts, the better for us. We might not fully understand what He is saying and all that He is doing, but if we will obey and trust Him, then we will enjoy exceeding abundantly.

 

Beloved, Exceeding Abundantly is for those who have decided to say “Yes” to God. It is for those who have decided that whether they understand the instruction or not, they will obey God. This year, make up your mind to obey God and obey quickly. The year 2020 was really an unprecedented year filled with several lessons, and one of the lessons is that man doesn’t have the answer, so why not go with God who knows exactly what He is doing and is in charge of the entire universe.

 

I believe God for you that this will be your best year yet. The hand of God will be evident in all areas of your life. I will certainly hear your testimonies.
