ENGAGE THE HOLY SPIRIT
“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, this is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6. (KJV)
As we climax the age, we will need help much more than ever before in today’s battle? We need help! And that help cannot come by man or by human effort. It can only come by the Holy Spirit.
You cannot live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. You cannot understand the things happening around you without His help. But how many believers are engaging this Holy Spirit? In our day to day lives, how many of us are engaging Him? The Holy Spirit has become a ‘religious thing’ we do.
Beloved, as a businessman or woman and as a married person, you need to engage the Holy Spirit in your day to day life. When you are faced with difficulties and challenging moments, you need to engage the Holy Spirit because the bible says that God will give you rest. And the Holy Spirit is our rest. That is the rest.
Are you pastoring a church and you are wondering how to go about your assignment? Engage the Holy Spirit. Nowadays, scarcely do you hear people praying in the Holy Ghost in churches. Yet, this is the Grace Gift that God has given us for these last days.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper. He is our Comforter and Advocate. He is our Intercessor, Counsellor and Strengthener. All of these are His names. In John 14:26, Jesus Christ spoke extensively about the Holy Spirit. He said, ‘the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance’. He did not say that He will only teach you spiritual things, but all things. He will teach you how best you can invest, what business you can get into, how to relate with your spouse and children and how to navigate through the ‘banana peels’ of life.
He will teach you how to increase your church and how to pass your examinations. All things!
Whatever is a thing, the Bible says He will teach you. However, He cannot teach you when you have not engaged Him. Take a quality decision today to always engage the Holy Spirit.
