DWELL IN THE SECRET PLACE

DWELL IN THE SECRET PLACE

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms 91:1 (KJV)

Where is the secret place? The secret place is in the Word. By implication, therefore, when you dwell in the Word, you shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. When you hide in the Word of God, you abide under the shadow of the Most High. Now watch what happens when you dwell in a secret place.

Firstly, because you are hiding in the Word, what will happen is that your confession will change automatically. This is so because you will begin to see God in His Bigness and His Almightiness. This revelation will change what you say. You are no more saying of the devil! Now your language is: “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God in Him will I trust” (Psalms 91:2KJV).

You will no more trust your circumstance because it is subject to change. Then what will happen is that you will begin to function from a position of confident assurance. Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Psalms 91:3-4 KJV)

In the Kingdom, we do not say the wrong thing. And this can only be your attitude if you are dwelling in the Word. Look at what the scripture says about the citizens of the Kingdom. “For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey. And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:21-24 KJV)

Don’t you ever say you are sick any longer! Don’t you ever say you will die! Don’t you ever say you will be stranded! Don’t you ever say you will be disappointed! Don’t you ever say you will not get married! Don’t you ever say you will not succeed in your business! Don’t you ever say what the devil is saying? The citizens of the Kingdom talk differently. This is why you must choose to dwell in a secret place.
