DON’T LOSE YOUR ZEAL

DON’T LOSE YOUR ZEAL

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;” Romans 12:11 KJV

Moses never lost his zeal; that was how he brought down Pharaoh down. Pharaoh resisted him. He would strike a deal, and then go back on the deal. But Moses kept going! He never stopped until one day, he wore Pharaoh out. You can wear the devil out based on your intensity. It got to the point when Pharaoh said: “please I don’t want to see your face again. Take everyone as you have requested, and leave Egypt.” Moses had destroyed the entire Egyptian powers. Pharaoh was made to bow to the King of kings, which was God’s original intention.

When you are intense and resilient, you will always win. But if the fire in you has become smoke when it should still be burning, you have opened the door for the devil. Abraham kept calling himself the name ‘Abraham,’ even when there was no evidence of pregnancy. He had become old, and could no more produce but God had changed his name from ‘Abram,’ to ‘Abraham.’ He kept on calling himself Abraham with consistency, intensity and zeal; he was addicted to it. Finally, in Genesis 21:1, the Bible says that God visited Sarah as He had said, and did to her as he had spoken. This is because somebody refused to back down.

Joseph kept on interpreting dreams. Even when he was sent to jail, he did not get offended. While in jail, he kept on interpreting dreams. He knew it was about God and not any man. It was about the deposit of God in him. He could not but interpret dreams; hence he could not keep his mouth shut. Finally Joseph made the interpretation that announced him. That is how to win and stay on top. That is how to keep the fire burning. Never back down. A lot of people are losing their fire, losing their skill and yet wondering why things are happening the way they are happening. I pray for you today, that you will not lose your zeal in every area of your life.
